Dear Sisters in Christ,
Merry Christmas! I hope you and yours have enjoyed a rich and joyous Christmastide. As we look toward 2018, I wonder if you also are feeling the need for some rejuvenation and renewal. If you are, I urge you to join us for the first ever renEW, an Episcopal Women’s retreat, February 3-4, 2018, at Gravatt. This event is also the 96th Annual ECW Convention.
At last year’s Convention, your Diocesan Board heard that the importance of ECW lies mostly in the relationships and fellowship that it nurtures, and how those relationships restore and empower our women for mission and ministry. We felt that our current format of a one-day business meeting did not adequately provide a forum to enrich women’s fellowship and spiritual renewal in the diocese, so we have changed the format into a retreat.
Of course we hope that you will join us for the entire event, but we have also structured the retreat so that attending for just the day is possible. Education for Ministry will lead us in spiritual reflection surrounding the idea of renewal and self-care, kicked off by words from our Bishop. There will be the opportunity to continue that study in small groups, or to do more action-oriented seminars if that is your choice.
I have enclosed a registration form, or you can use www.eduscwomen.org/renew to register online. More information:

If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope to see you the first weekend in February!
For His glory,
