GETTING TO KNOW YOU!!
On Saturday, October 21st, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Greenville, 25 women gathered for a Fall Fun & Fellowship Tea Party. The women were from churches in the Upstate as well as some from the Columbia area. It had been a while since we had gathered together as a group of women from area churches. This day we had an opportunity not only to enjoy delicious food and tea, but also to get to know one another again. Some of us were meeting for the first time, some of us were long time friends, and in some cases some of us were connecting with women from our parishes for the first time. We shared upcoming events at our parishes and Whitney Evans, our Diocesan ECW President, shared updates, happenings and upcoming events in our diocesan women’s sphere. Our Thanks goes to St. Peters for providing their wonderful church for this event. Kudos go to Kathy Siegel of St. Peter’s, Greenville, Phyllis Webb, Church of the Redeemer, Greenville and Meredith Blocker, St. John’s, Columbia for being our hostesses and providing all the wonderful food. Special thanks to Kathy for allowing us to use her wonderful collection of tea cups, saucers and plates. We look forward to the next opportunity to gather as women from our “Upstate Neighborhood” and beyond!!
